Your Cruise & Canoe safari begins with a cruise across stunning Lake Cootharaba where we enter the Australia's only Everglades.

Stopping at Fig Tree point you board your Canadian style canoe for a leisurely paddle upstream through ancient landscapes, mirrored waterways know as "The River of Mirrors", witness sub-tropical rainforest millions of years old and abundant wildlife that inhabits the region. Morning tea is served at the iconic Harryâ€™s Hut. Here you can swim in the tea tree infused waters or explore the rich history of the region.

After morning tea you reboard the vessel and continue to experience the magnificent wonders of the Everglades, recognised as one of the most spectacular waterways in Australia. The Noosa Everglades is home to over 44% of Australia's bird species, which is more than Kakadu National Park in an area only a fraction in size..

Upon returning to Habitat Noosa you will be served a delicious BBQ lunch, boasting views of the Lake and surrounding bushland of the EcoCamp.

A wonderful day, from the pick up to the drop off. Informative history and the morning tea and muffins where the best. Canoeing back down and then a lovely lunch at the bar. A great day with wonderful scenery. The staff at Habitat Noosa were so accommodating, a wonderful day out.

Even though the weather didn't look promising - we had a wonderful cruise - I think it made the reflections even more beautiful. Brad our driver shared lots of interesting local knowledge & stories. The scenery was spectacular & very unexpected - lots of photo opportunities. The best part was our canoe paddle from Harry's Hut to Figtree - it was beautiful gliding along listening to nature!! The morning tea provided was lovely - fresh fruit & muffins! Lunch was delicious! Would highly recommend this cruise.

Wonderful day out in the beautiful Everglades. Relaxing walks with morning tea and a lunch provided. Great photo opportunities and a chance to go kayaking if you like.

This is a beautiful river ecosystem just 100km north of Brisbane. The boat allows very good viewing as well as a front area lovely for photography. Very serene with a couple of stops along the way. First one allows anyone who wants to canoe to the next stop (5km away) to get a canoe. Everyone meets up at the next spot for morning tea and a visit to historic Harry’s Hut. The morning tea was substantial and very nice. The fellow who drove the boat was extremely knowledgeable and filled the time with history and anecdotal stories. On return, lunch was served (choice of steak, fish, or vegetarian). This was the lowlight of the trip. I’ve usually found that tours which include lunch or dinner fall down in that area and this was no different. My friend who had fish said it was tasteless. My steak was virtually raw and very chewy. Nice salads though. It’s the site of a micro brewery so there are some good beers. Worth it for the river cruise but if you think they’ll be lots of birds (which the brochure alludes to) you will be disappointed. Because of the PH balance of the water (due to the tannan from the tea trees), birds do not inhabit the area. Only saw 2 coromonts on one tree. Just a little info to keep you from expecting something different.

The scenery was amazing. I am a keen photographer, the photo pportunities were endless. The natural beauty of the Everglades is a must see.

The Everglades are undoubtedly a magnificent sight, but this is not to be credited to the Eco Safari company we went with, just to nature. Unfortunately the tour experience was SORELY LACKING... Our tour guide, Dave, was late, disorganised, appeared incompetent, used "dry humour" that tripped over into plain rudeness, and had total disregard for the interests/ questions/ concerns of the visitors on his boat. When he greeted us he explained that (due to a twice yearly extreme low tide) we would need to wade out to the boat. No problem with that whatsoever! A good tour guide would make a joke out of it and treat it like an added adventure! Not Dave... He wryly told us that "if anyone has a complaint they can write it on a $20 note and I'll collect them at the end". No hint of joking in his voice which left an uncomfortable silence that fell across the group. Upon arrival at Fig Tree Point I had hoped we'd be asked who wished to canoe the first leg and who wanted to paddle back. Nope, Dave told each family group who would paddle first and the rest were to stay on the boat while that group were getting organised. What followed was about 5-10 minutes of sitting getting bored while Dave "checked his numbers", frequently asking those of us still on board "what's half of 25..?" and "Nope, I've got that wrong... what's half of 23..?" while passengers exchanged looks of concern about how the rest of the day would proceed. Around this point I accepted that we would be in the group paddling back and approached Dave to advise that the canoeing was the main reason for us booking as we are avid paddlers and wanted as much time as possible in the canoe so could he please tell us when the earliest opportunity would be to get in one for the return leg. We travelled up to Harry's Hut, ate a lovely morning tea (kudos to the muffin baker) and midway through Dave turned to me and said "the second canoe group should've left 10 minutes ago". We had no idea the first group had returned already and were gutted to have missed valuable paddling time. Perhaps he could do with some training on time management and to communicate to guests "the second canoe group should be back at the boat at 12:30" so guests know how long they can explore/ eat before leaving. We were then "fitted" with life jackets and discovered that there wasn't one on board that was the right size for my 9 year old son, despite providing his age on my booking form. (There were also 5 other children about his size so presumably all of them were in the wrong sized life jackets too - very dangerous.) The life jacket he was given had 2 broken straps and was definitely not still fit for purpose. Very puzzled about this as there was a shed of new-looking life jackets with the hire equipment where we launched from... His attitude seemed to improve a little in the afternoon and he provided some information on the history of previous inhabitants to the area, though not much on the wildlife which was disappointing given there's more biodiversity in the Everglades than in Kakadu - a fact that most visitors wouldn't have known since Dave never mentioned it. He threw in a couple of wry comments that I think were meant to be humorous, but by this point the atmosphere in the boat was just uncomfortable and only a couple of elderly passengers gave a polite little chuckle. Lunch was lovely, though it was about 3:20 by the time we ate it and our bus driver was hurrying us to finish as the other visitors he was transporting had to return for their next plans. Overall, the environment and food were lovely, but the boating equipment and tour guide let down the experience and would make me book my next trip with another operator. I would welcome contact from the operator to further explain specifics if required.

I booked this for our group on the recommendation from a friend. Overall it was a lovely experience. There was good communication, the boat was very large for the 10 of us (I guess due to COVID regulations) and there was plenty to see and admire. I was also pleasantly surprised that the lunch was really quite generous and tasty although to of our group didn't enjoy the fish (dry and a bit tasteless). My only criticism is that I wished there was a bit more information on the ecosystem of the everglades, the wildlife and what makes it so unique. Other than that it was a good experience!

We had a great day out on this cruise. The scenery was spectacular and we were looked after very well. There was also lots of info about the area. Morning tea and lunch was very nice

Loved this tour. We are SE Queensland locals and thought it was fantastic. Our tour guide was wonderful - so full of knowledge and made the trip such a relaxing and fun day. The canoeing was fabulous, the morning tea and lunch were also great. Highly recommend.
