Sydney Hills Visitor Interpretation Centre is located on the site of Roughley House and The Pines in Dural. The visitor centre is managed by Hills, Hawkesbury and Riverlands Tourism Association and is staffed by passionate tourism volunteers. The centre is where you can access information on the history of the Great North Road and local history as well as maps, local accommodation, drives, tourist attractions, dining, events, free things, conference/wedding venues as well as shopping, pubs/clubs et cetera. The volunteers are happy to assist you any way they can so come on down and say hello! Roughley House is a colonial heritage listed homestead that was established in 1856 and has been passed through generations of the Roughley family throughout the years, the property is now owned by Hills Shire Council.
